This week, I had the opportunity to go to  Ankeny National Wildlife Refuge. The refuge is managed by  U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and is a free place where visitors can access trails and viewing areas, or just drive around from dawn to dusk. If you'd like to visit, it is located at 2301 Wintel Road Jefferson, OR. For more information, you can find their website here . Week 2

This week I was able to photograph the Women in Tech Night, which took place on January 19th in LBCC's new MILL, or Maker and Innovation Learning Lab.  The event had many opportunities for attendees to try out different activities and familiarize themselves with the space, a panel featuring four local women working in tech fields, and a networking hour to interact with professionals working in tech fields.  The event promoted inclusivity within education and the field, and making more knowledge of STEM careers available to everyone, encouraging anyone with an interest to take part in helping take part in this mission. I don’t really have a specific dream job—well, I guess I do. If I could do anything without having to worry about money I would travel around the world, take pictures, and write, so I guess that would be a travel journalist or an author, but neither of those seems very stable or realistic so I probably won’t end up doing either of those.  I took this class because it both seemed fun, and I thought it would give me a little taste of what journalism would be like. Since I'm not sure of what job I want to pursue, I take a lot of classes with the hope of just exploring and finding things that I like. Don't get me wrong when I said I would take pictures as part of my dream job, I have no clue what I'm doing. I did take Yearbook in high school so I have a bit of experience from
